Microblogs

Future

The future of microblogging relies on two things that make it so marketable: mobility and its conciseness.

There is no arguing that the conciseness of microblogging is one of the main reasons why a lot of netizens turn to it. There is no need to type long entries telling people about your day, and you do not have to worry about boring people when you do it. While updates are so short, the discussions can turn out to be so long, that it makes it very interactive.

This interactivity has spun too many web debates on whether microblogging platforms like twitter is a blog or a chat room. Considering that short microblogs invite more interaction seeing that the updates are so short, and it raises too many speculations that interactivity and other questions naturally follows.

Mobility is also a plus in microblogging. You can microblog in your mobile phone, or even check microblog updates in your mobile. Either way you can take it with you!

While it is too early to say whether the demand for microblogging will sky-rocket in the near future, needless to say, it will gain more and more followers as the need for connectivity and networking rises.
